List of obligatory (free) services for NRSL's users
- Loan of books in alternative (Braille, talking, large print, tactile graphic and complex editions) and traditional formats for some period of time
- Order of needed editions through services of inter-library exchange system if they are not available in NRSL's collections
- Delivery of books to readers of Home Loan Department and Correspondence Loan Department
- Individual and group readings with librarians-reciters or volunteers according to coordinated schedules
- Providing opportunity for independent work with talking books in the Library's Reading Room
- Fulfillment of the inquiries on the basis of the Library's reference information resources
- Providing adaptive technological equipment and software for use in NRSL
- Digital recording of educational, scientific, popular-scientific and local history literature on preliminary group and individual applications from specialists and students (according to decisions of the Editorial Publishing Council)
- Carrying-out of orders connected with publishing Braille sheet materials (not more than 15 copies)
- Organization of information and social cultural events
- Organization of information service (Days of Specialist, Days of Information, system of selective dissemination of information)
- Conducting excursions and Open Door Days in the Library
- Rendering consultative assistance and services concerning preventative maintenance and repair of equipment for reading talking books (according to the list of services given by the Library's Sector on preventative maintenance and repair of audio equipment)
